Abdullah ibn Khubayb said: We went out on a rainy, very dark night looking for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to lead us in prayer. When we found him, he said: “Have you prayed?” I said nothing. He said: “Say.” I still said nothing. He repeated: “Say.” I said: “O Messenger of Allah, what should I say?” He said: “Recite ‘Say: He is Allah, One’ and the two chapters of refuge three times in the evening and three times in the morning; they will suffice you against everything.”
