Virtue of This Dhikr & Related Hadith

Aban ibn Uthman said that he heard Uthman ibn Affan say: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: “Whoever says three times, ‘In the name of Allah, with whose name nothing on earth or in heaven can cause harm, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing,’ will not be struck by a sudden affliction until morning; and whoever says it three times in the morning will not be struck by a sudden affliction until evening.” Aban later suffered paralysis, and a man who had heard the report from him began looking at him. Aban said: “Why are you looking at me? By Allah, I did not lie about Uthman, and Uthman did not lie about the Prophet ﷺ. But on the day this happened to me, I became angry and forgot to say it.”
