Arabic

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَحْيَانَا بَعْدَ مَا أَمَاتَنَا، وَإِلَيْهِ النُّشُورُ

Transliteration

Alhamdu lillahil-ladhee ahyaanaa ba'da maa amaatanaa, Wa ilayhin-nushoor

Meaning

Praise belongs to Allah, who gave us life after causing us to die, and to Him we will be resurrected.

Virtue of This Dhikr & Related Hadith

When the Prophet ﷺ intended to sleep, he would say: “In Your name, O Allah, I die and I live.” When he woke from his sleep, he would say: “Praise be to Allah who gave us life after causing us to die, and to Him is the resurrection.”
